Abe Leavitt

Dr. Abraham Leavitt. Practiced in Everett; 69 Dr. Abraham C. Leavitt of 351, Broadway, Everett, died unexpectedly yesterday in Whidden Memorial Hospital in Everett. He was 69. Born in St. Paul, Minn., he moved to Everett as a young boy. He was graduated from Everett High School in 1925 and from Penn State University in 1929. After graduation from the University of Maryland Medical School in 1939 he returned to Everett as a general practitioner. He was on the staffs of the Whidden and Maiden hospitals. He served as a captain in the Army Medical Corps during World War II. ! He was a member of the American ; Medical Assn., Kiwanis Club and the Galilean Lodge of Masons in Everett. He was a founding member of New Congregation Tifereth Israel of Everett. Dr. Leavitt leaves his wife, Phyllis (Smith); a son, Howard M. Leavitt, and a daughter Irene B. Leavitt, both of Everett; a brother, Oral, of Maiden and a sister, Sara Sandberg of Newton. Services will be tomorrow at noon in Levine Chapel, .470 Harvard St., Brookline.
