In 1702, Abel purchased 90 acres of land in Lebanon, CT. for 7 pounds, silver, current money of New England. In 1703, he purchased 21 acres and in 1711 he purchased 9 more acres. His greatest purchase was made in 1717 of 829 acres, partly in Windham and partly in Lebanon, CT. for 250 pounds.
