Contents [hide] 1 Biography 1.1 Note 1.2 Birth 1.3 Marriage 2 Sources 3 Acknowledgements Biography Note Myer says that William Beaumont's mother, Samuel Beaumonts's wife, was Abigail Dennison (page 5) or Denison (page 8). Myer indicates that this comes from the inscription on William's tombstone[1] , but this is not apparent from the tombstone that states his mother is Abigail Deming [2][3]

The Deming Genealogy provides an alternative last name for William's mother: "An Abigail Deming married 27 June, 1716 Samuel Beaumont, and may have been Jonathan's daughter" [4]

The Barbour Collection of Connecticut Vital Records lists Abigail's name as "Abigail Demmon of Wethersfield" [5]

Beaumont memorial reads: BEAUMONT MEMORIAL "William Beaumont, third in descent from William Beaumont of Saybrook, and fourth in the maternal line from Nicholas Danforth of Cambridge, Massachusetts; second from Samuel Beaumont in the maternal line; third from Thomas Buckingham, Pastor in Saybrook, born in Saybrook, the son of Samuel Beaumont; second Abigail Deming, died A. D. 1812 - 87. Sarah Everit, wife of Thomas Buckingham died 1813, age 92 yrs." [6][2]

Birth Abigail Deming, daughter of Jonathan and Martha, was born Mar. 14, 1695, in Wethersfield, Connecticut.[7] It is not proven that she is the same Abigail who married Samuel Beaumont.
