"Mrs. Mitchell was one of the New Jersey matrons of the Revolution, and there is yet an old heirloom of her family in possession of one of her granddaughters, it being a cup and saucer of peculiar construction. The old china set of the last century was used by General Washington when at her house near Morristown, during the Revolutionary War."
