Abigail's birthplace is listed in the Record of Births, Publishments, Marriages and Deaths In the Town of Ipswich. Collected from the Essex County Records from 1635 to 1687, And also from the Parish Records of the several Parishes of said Town and not hertofore entered in the Town Records.
Per this record, Abigail was christened on 23 September 1694 in Rowley, Essex, Massachusetts Bay, British Colonial America.

The town of Rowley was originally colonized as a plantation by Reverend Ezekiel Rogers who arrived on The John of London with about twenty families. In 1639, the grant for Rowley, Massachusetts was from Ipswich on the south to Newbury on the north, and from the ocean on the east to the Merrimack River on the west.
On September 4, 1639, the town was incorporated, and included portions of modern-day Byfield, Groveland, Georgetown, and Haverhill.
