On the death notice CTAR (8110 filed on 27/4/1872) of his son, the father's name is entered as 'Abraham Johannes', not the other way around, probably an error. The mother is listed as 'Susanna Francina Jooste'. Age at death ('in zyn eigen huis te Calvinia'): 71 yrs 7 months and 9 days. Occupation, farmer. A widower. Five of his eight children were girls, the boys being Abraham Johannes, Johannes Abraham and Willem Jacobus.
On the N S Louw family tree he is shown as 'Abraham v. Wyk Ramskop'. On his death notice his place of birth was entered as 'Akkerdam, district Calvinia', and the first names of his father as 'AbrahamJohannes', not the other way around. Age at death ('in zyn eigen huis te Calvinia'): 71 yrs 7 months and 9 days. Occupation, farmer. A widower. Five of his eight children were girls, the boys being Abraham Johannes, Johannes Abraham and Willem Jacobus.
