Bought land and buildings 04Feb1808 (FLR 36-219) from Solomon Langdon, and resided there, at the fork of present-day Main and Lovely Sts, Union District (later Unionville), until selling in 1847 to David A Keyes. Franklin A Tryon, a merchant from Glastonbury, bought the point of land portion from Keyes in 1850 to establish the first general store in Unionville, Tryon & Sanford, with Truman Sanford, erecting his building at the point by 1853. He utilized the former Parsons house, which stood behind the store building, as a saw manufactory. Tryon lived at 100 Main St (later the Elmer Cross family home) and Sanford lived next door north at 110 Main St.
