 March 3, 1783:  Ebenezer Smith of Ridgefield to Abraham Pulling, some 20 acres of “Asprum Mountain” for “a certain sum of money.”  Bounded “South and East by Common Land, North by Elnathan Sturges land, and West by my own Land.”  Witnessed by Philip B. To all People to whom these Presents shall come Greeting. Knowledge that I Uzziel Hyatt of Ridgefield in Fairfield County and State of Connecticutt for the consideration of --- Twenty ---- pounds, Lawful money received to my full satisfaction of Esther Sealey of said Ridgefield do Give, Grant, Bargain Sell Convey and confirm unto her the said Esther Sealey and to her heirs and assigns forever a certain piece of land lying in said Ridgefield in Quantity Six acres Bounded as follows, viz. – South by Abigail DeForest land, North and East by my own land and West by Highway and my own land --- To have and to hold the above granted and Bargained premisses with appurtenances thereof unto the said Easther Sealey and to her heirs and assigns forever to her and their own proper use and behoof. Also, I the said Uzziel Hyatt do for myself my heirs Executors and Administrators covenant with her this said Esther Sealey her heirs and assigns that at and untill the Ensealing of these Presents I am well seized of the premisses as a good Indefeasible Estate in fee simple and have good right to bargain and sell the same in manner and form as is above written and that the same is free of all Incumbrances whatsoever. Furthermore, I the said Uzziel Hyatt do by these Presents bind my self and my heirs forever to warrant and Defend the above Grants and bargained premisses to her the said Esther Sealey her heirs and assigns against all claims and Demands whatsoever. Ridgefield. 26 pounds of Esther Pulling, wife unto Abraham Pulling on 11 acres on Aspen Mountain. To All people to whom these Presents shall come greeting. Know ye that I Ezekiel Smith in the town of Ridgefield & County of Fairfield & State of Connecticut for the consideration of twenty six Pounds Lawful money received to my full satisfaction of Esther Pulling Wife of Abraham Pulling of Ridgefield in said county Do give grant bargain & Sell & Confirm until the Said Esther Pulling & to her heirs & Assigns for ever a Certain Piece or parcel of Land lying in Ridgefield on Asproom mountain in Quantity Eleven Acres and one half. The Same is Bounded East by land of Abel Barnum & Abraham Pulling & north by Abraham Pulling’s land & highway and West by highway & Gideon Smith’s land south by Gideon Smith’s & Jonatham Whitlock’s Land.
