Abraham Soyka

Note: There seems to be some confusion about Abraham's wives. The Familiant indicates that Abraham married Katharina Ullmann around 1811, and makes no mention of any other wife. However, there are records from 1804-1822 of children born to Abraham Sojka and Katharina "Kattel" Bulowa. The first unequivocal record with Katharina Ullmann is Isak's birth in 1823, and Katharina Bulowa is not mentioned anymore. Perhaps the Familiant is in error about the date of their marriage -- maybe 1822 instead of 1811? (It seems likely that the "Babetta" could be an error altogether -- Salomon Sojka married a Lisbeth and was having children around the same time.) I've not yet found a marriage record for Abraham, nor a death record for Katharina Bullowa Sojka. -LK
