About Abraham Weaver

Abraham Weaver was born on September 9th, 1832 to John Weaver and Elizabeth Susan Thomas in Sullivan County, TN. The Weaver family was of Swiss-German and Silesian descent. He then moved to northern Texas, southwestern Arkansas, and then finally to Oklahoma with his family. He would live in Indian Territory with his family until he died on March 21st, 1913.

Major landowner in Monroe County, TN. Accrued debt and was involved in multiple court cases, one involving a horse that he purchased dying days after he bought it.

Left Tennessee and refused to show up to court. Had a run in with L.M. Blackman, a Unionist politician and soldier.

Declared himself a veteran of the Confederate Army on the 1910 census.

Private in Colonel Henry Marshall Ashby's 2nd Tennessee Cavalry. Enlisted in Sweetwater, TN in 1863 and deserted in December of 1863.
