John Weaver

John Weaver was the son of Frederick Weaver and Catherine Peters. He was born in Sullivan County, TN around the year 1780. He served in the Tennessee Militia sent to quell a mutiny under General Andrew Jackson during the War of 1812.

He married Elizabeth Susan Thomas, daughter of Jacob Thomas and Regina Schultz, both of Pennsylvania.

John Weaver is not the same John Weaver who moved from New York to Ontario as a Late Loyalist. John lived his entire life in the state of Tennessee, as a Baptist preacher, farmer, and soldier.
