Biography

Abraham Womack was a US Southern Colonist.

Abraham, reputed son of William Womack and Mary Allen, was born about 1644 in Henrico County, Virginia Colony.[1][2] He passed away before October 1733 in Henrico County.

Abraham married about 1662 in Henrico County, Virginia. There is no documentation to tell us who Abraham married. He has been linked to Sarah Worsham probably because Abraham had business dealings with both William Worsham and John Worsham (possible fathers of Sarah) in Henrico County. Again there is no evidence that either William or John Worsham had a daughter named Sarah.

Abraham's known children include:

  • William Womack, c 1675-bfr 1762, m Mary Farrar
  • Abraham Womack, c 1680-1747, m Judith LNU (granddaughter of Jane Gower)
  • Thomas Womack, c 1686 - before Jan 1734, m Mary Farley
  • Martha (Womack) Hambleton, c 1688 - 1758/1765, m 1) John Mosby, 2) James Hambleton

  • Thomas Womack and Mary Farley
  • Abraham Womack Sr. and 1st wife Jane Unknown; 2nd wife Elizabeth Unknown; and 3rd affair with Ann "Nancy" Blanton
