About Abraham Wormser
In the early 1800s, Abraham started the first small village shop in Aldingen, but continued doing whatever other kinds of work he could obtain. He was diligent, thrifty, and honest.
Was successful in business and was able to marry while relatively young,. The first two of his 12 children were born before he was 30. He lived to see all of them marry and do well in life.
Abraham was a straightforward, kindly, and highly respected man. At the time of his death in the Summer of 1860, the esteem in which he was held in was demonstrated by the large number of farmers who came not only from the neighborhood but also from far away to pay their respects. It was the largest funeral in the history of Aldingen.
