Abraham Yosef Kahane (Kobaker)

The father of Abraham Yosef Kahane (buried 1894 Mt of Olives, Jerusalem) is reported as Leib. It is possible that Leib is the same person as Aryeh Leibish: A brother Yosef of Aryeh Leibish died in 1834, just when Abraham Yosef should have been born. Another brother Jacob gives his name to a son Yaakov Kahane (Dayan in Chernovitz) of Abraham Yosef. The name Yitzhak appears after one generation in Ozyas family. All the family lived in the shteytls Kitav, Kolomyja, Sighet. We have removed the identity of the two from GENI in order not to propagate errors, but discussion and information are welcome.
