About Abraham A. van Buren
Youngest brother of 8th President Martin Van Buren.
Abraham was the fifth and last child of Abraham and Maria(Hoes) Van Buren, brother of Derike, Hannah, Martin, and Lawrence. He served in the war of 1812, and was a lawyer. Like his famous brother, he served as surrogate of Columbia County. Sadly, he died just before Martin was elected President of the United States.
