Abram Swanger, 77 years old, of 439 Maple Street, died at seven o'clock this morning at his home of complications following a one year's illness. He was well known in the southern section of the city where for a considerable length of time he conducted a shoe store on Canal Street. He retired from an active business life sometime ago. Mr. Swanger was a member of Kimmerling's Reformed church and of the Hall of Lebanon, Circle 25, Brotherhood of America. He leaves to survive his wife, Emma, the following brothers and sisters: William E. Swanger, County Commissioner; John H., Lebanon; Calvin, Lebanon; Mrs. Mary Phillips and Mrs. Katie Shaak, Lebanon and Mrs. Emma Henry, California. [Lebanon Daily News, Thursday August 2, 1934]
