If you are new to Geni and I am the manager of one of your direct ancestors, please message me and I will help you connect to the World Tree. If you want to learn more about how to use Geni see Start Here Basics or Help Portal. Since Geni is a collaborative tree, the site provides a way to change your view. Please don't capitalize or put parenthesis around the entire surname. This can be done for your personal viewing by the following directions:
On Geni, surname is the "last name" at the time of birth. Last name is the spelling at the time of death. If they are identical, it is still best to have both listed. A blank field can lead to incorrect data added through a merge. Don't put multiple last names in the last name or surname fields. If a person has alternative spelling(s) of the name, place them in the aka field.
If you make a mistake that you can't fix, you can request curator help. If a relationship appears to be incorrect, please see working with relationships. Do not delete profiles of other managers. If they are wrong, contact them or start a discussion.
If you want to read information about how to work on Geni, see Help Portal

If you see my work in the tree near your relatives, I am not necessarily closely related to that family. I enjoy Genealogy - researching, solving puzzles, using logic, and creating memorials. Although I work throughout the World Tree, my work generally involves Swiss/German immigrants to Pennsylvania. I created the following projects: Herr project, Town Founders, First Immigrant, Members of the CIA.
