About Adélaïde de Poitiers
Adélaïde de Poitiers . "Radulfus de Faie" is recorded as avunculus of Eléonore, Queen of Henry II King of England, and as having been one of those encouraging Henry "the Young King" to rebel against his father in 1172 [1]. It is not known whether this is the only primary source which records the relationship of Raoul de Faye's wife with the family of the Dukes of Aquitaine. The primary source which names her has not so far been identified. m RAOUL de Faye, son of ---. [1] Luard, H. R. (ed.) (1874) Matthæi Parisiensis, Monachi Sancti Albani, Chronica Majora (London) (“MP”), Vol. II, 1172, p. 285.
