Obituary, WATERLOO REGION RECORD, Kitchener, Ontario - Mar. 16, 2009 BOWMAN, Ada (Mrs. Sidney M.) - Peacefully went home to be with the Lord, on Saturday, March 14, 2009, at Heritage House, St. Jacobs. Ada (Gingrich) Bowman, age 74 years, formerly of Floradale. Beloved wife of Sidney M. Bowman for 51 years. Loving mother of two sons, Wayne and Andrea Bowman, Willie Bowman and Angie Hill, all of Elmira; four daughters, Dianne and Doug Diefenbacher of RR 1, Gowanstown, Pauline Martin of RR 1, Elora, Doris and Gerald Lichty of RR 2, Drayton, Miriam and Rick Metzger of Wellesley. Fondly remembered by her 19 grandchildren. Sister of Edwin and Verna Gingrich of Parry Sound and sister-in-law of Erma Gingrich of Elmira and Urias Weber of St. Jacobs. Predeceased by her parents, Eli and Leah Gingrich; step-mother, Mary Gingrich; brothers, Sylvester and Angus Gingrich; sister, Edna Weber; son-in-law, Steve Martin and grandson, Ryan Lichty. The family will receive their friends and relatives at the Dreisinger Funeral Home , Elmira on Tuesday, March 17 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. At noon on Wednesday, March 18, transfer will be made to the Moorefield Mennonite Fellowship, 102 Muir St., Moorefield for funeral service at 2 p.m. followed by interment in Hollen Cemetery. In her memory, donations to Christian Aid Ministries would be appreciated by the family as expressions of sympathy. Our family wishes to thank the staff at Heritage House for their kindness and compassionate care for Mom in the past months.
