Nissley - Ada (Hershberger-Yoder) Nissley, daughter of John and Magdalena (Miller) Hershberger, was born in Washington County, Iowa, Aug 18, 1892; and died Nov 21, 1979, from cancer, at the age of 87 years, 3 months and 3 days.

She accepted Christ as her Saviour in her youth and became a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

On Nov. 26, 1912, she was united in marriage to Noah J Yoder, who preceded her in death Mar 11, 1929.

To this union were born 3 sons and 3 daughters: Mrs Henry (Wilma) Mast, Mrs Tobias J (Ruth) Miller of Kalona, Alvin of Hutchinson, Kans, Simon of Leon, Iowa, and Mrs Glen (Susan) Beachy of Kalona, where she had her home.

One son Joseph died in infancy (five days old). Wilma also preceded her in death on Aug. 21, 1952.

On July 26, 1936, she was married again to Bishop Ira Nissley, who preceded her in death on June 28, 1971.

She is survived by 5 step-children: Mrs Henry E (Irene) Bender, Kalona, Iowa; Ellen of Sarasota, Fla; Mrs. Edgar (Bertha) Helmuth, Costa Rica; Eli Nissley, Millersburg, Ind.; David, Goshen, Ind.; also 3 sisters and 2 brothers: Mrs Lewis (Lena) Ropp, Mrs Jesse (Anna) Shetler, Ruth, Daniel and Joe all of Kalona.

One brother Edwin and one sister Barbara preceded her in death.

Also surviving her are 37 grandchildren, 26 stepgrand children, 58 great-grandchildren, 60 step great grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.

Services were held in the Glen Beachy home by Bishop John N. Kramer of Jamesport, Mo, and Bishop Abe Gingerich of Arthur, Ill. In the grandpa house by Bishop Tobias J Detweiler of Jamesport, Mo, and Bishop Edward E Nisley of Arthur, Ill. Burial in the East Union Cemetery north of Kalona, Iowa.
