Adam Preston m. Isabel Braithwhett 2 June 1583, at Giggleswick, Yorkshire, England. Children of Adam baptized at Giggleswick Margaret 24 Aug 1583 Thomas 20 Aug 1585 Janet 1 Sep 1588 Katherine 13 Aug 1589 William 28 Jan 1590/1 Richard 30 Sep 1594 Birth: Estimated 25 years before marriage.

Death (8 Nov 1593) ?[citation needed] This date is not in the parish register at Gigglesworth, and is before the birth of his last child.

Several websites list Robert Braithwaite and Alice Williamson as parents of Isabel Braithwaite. In searching for primary sources, there are parish records for St. Andrews Penrith which list:

Robert Brothwait m. Betteres Vaux in 1563 Isabell d. of robert Brothwait bapt. in 1564

In Google Books, Barnabee's Journal by Richard Braithwaite mentions a Robert Braithwaite m. to Alice Williamson with daughter Isabel m. to Thomas Briggs.

Info on Betteres Vaux includes a the death listing in the parish registry referring to her as "wydow Betteres Brothwait" Obviously there is some problem with the spelling. have checked under Beatrice and cannot locate a Beatrice Vaux in the proper time frame.

Does anyone have any solid info on the ancestry of Isabel Braithwaite m. to Adam Preston?
