OBITIUARY MR. A. W. VOGEL. Mr. Adam William Vogel, who died on Tuesday, was a son of one of Brassall's first pioneers. Mr. Vogel had lived a varied life, having farmed at Harrisvllle for some years, travelled over a great deal of Queensland as a drover, and worked as a coachbuilder in Ipswich, and a waggon-bulilder in the railway workshops, from where he retired about two years ago. The late Mr. Vogel was associated with the Brassall Methodist Church, having been Superintendant of the Sunday School. He was a prominent member of Loyal George Lodge, P.A.F.S.O.A. In his early days he was a member of the Mounted Volunteer Forces, also a member of the Brassall Rifle Club. He was also interested in horses and poultry. At one time Mr. Vogel was engaged in carting coal to Mount Crosby. Mr. and Mrs. Vogel (Mrs. Vogel was Miss Lucy Maud Pocock) lived at Brassall after their marriage about 44 years ago, and there are three children of the marriage, Miss Edna May Vogel, Morven; Mrs. Jack Graham, Kingston, and Mr. W. G. Vogel, Brassall. There are five grandchlldren. At the funeral at the Ipswich Cemetery yesterday afternoon, the service was conducted by Rev. C. P. J. Clarkson. Bro. G. Ginn read the lodge service.
