About Adam von Weyher, også skrevet von Weiher
In 1674 he was made Knight of the Danebrog and appointed Field Marshal by King Christian V of Denmark to command the Danish army in a joint offensive (with Brandenburg) against Sweden. The army of 18,000 men and forty guns set off through neutral Mecklenburg in September 1675. They took Wismar on 20 September and then took Doberan on 25th. Damgarten was taken on 6 October. Weiher is possibly portrayed on the Rosenborg tapestries.
