Obituary: Mrs. Addie Whistler died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Brack, Wednesday morning. A short service will be held at the home this morning and the body will be taken to Americus City for burial.

Adelaide Lavina Danley was born in the state of Pennsylvania on September 13, 1839, and departed this life at the home of her daughter, Mrs Elizabeth Brack, Wednesday, April 20, 1921, her age being 81 years, 8 months, and 7 days.
When she was a child of nine years she moved with ehr parents to the sate of Illinois. It was during the year of 1868 that she came ot Kansas. For soem time she was a teacher in the public schools. She shared the responsibilites of the pioneer's life in what is now considered an early day in Kansas.
She was married ot Mr. H. C. Whisler on September and they took up residence int he vacinity of America City. That was about 50 years ago.
America City has been the place of residence of Mrs Whisler since her marriage wiht the exception of seven years which the family spent in Corning Kansas.
Mr. and Mrs. Whisler lived in holdy and happy wedlock for a period of 36 years. he preceeded her in death 15 years ago. they were the parents of eight children, three of whom died during infancy. The living children are Mrs May Lederer of havensville, Mrs Mabel Grigsby f corning. Harry Whisler of Kansas city, Mrs Elizabeth Brackof Holon and John Whisler of America city.
Mother Whisler took great delight in the welfare of her family. She was typical mother whose life was filled with deeds of sacrifice and tender ministries and tin his solemn our her children rise up to call her blessed. Mrs Whisler lived a consistent, useful life. She has given many years to the service of the savior. When a girl of tender years she made public confession of her faith in Christ and united with the Presbyterian churc. Later in life she ahd her membership transfer to the Methodist Episcopal church at Corning Kansas. There her churchrelationship remained until her death. It is indeed the greatest possible source of consolation.
