His father Jesse Penfield was Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Ancestor #A088434
Adnah and 5 of his siblings were baptized at the same time at the 1st Cong. Church of Plymouth, formerly known as Northbury Parish Church. Adnah was a member of Genesee Co. Militia for 7 years and eventually became Captain. Adnah was one of the first settlers of Simcoe County Ontario Canada. The town of Penville was built on part of his original grant and was named for him. Both he and his wife were buried in the churchyard of Tecumseh Township, St. John's Anglican Church (near Toronto). All old church records were burned. Adnah received a Patent or Crown deed for his property.
