BIOGRAPHY Adrianus Petrus Scheltus was born on 23 February 1895 in Rotterdam, son of Isaac Scheltus and Dorothea Maria Bolomey. With his wife Annie he had three sons.
In April 1929 he became burgemeester (mayor) of Sint-Michielsgestel. However on 16 July 1941 the Germans removed him from that position. He was found in the possession of papers incriminating for the Germans and was taken to prison Kamp Vught. There on 11 August 1944 he was shot.
