7. [AGELTRUDA (-[21 Mar 1008/18 Feb 1011]). Stasser suggests that the first wife of Rudolf III King of Burgundy was the daughter of Pandolf I "Capiferreus/Ironhead" Prince of Capua[1717]. He bases this hypothesis firstly on onomastics, highlighting that the name Ageltruda is found only among the Lombard families, and secondly on the possibility that the marriage was arranged by Emperor Otto II during his Italian expedition in 981. "Rudulfus rex" names "coniugis nostre Agildrudis" in a charter dated 12 Jan 994[1718].
