Agnes Connelly

Mass of requiem was celebrated at 9 a.m. Saturday, January 15, 1938, in St. Andrew's church for Mrs. Agnes K. Connelly Bergeson, 31, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Connelly, 823 W. 2nd st., and twice winner of the title "Miss Erie" in a beauty contest, who died Tuesday, January 11, 1938, at Providence Hospital, Sandusky, Ohio. The funeral was held from the home of her parents at 8:30 a.m. The Rev. James Crowell celebrated the mass and pallbearers were Fay Young, Louis DeGeorge, Ray Markiewicz, Fred Zurn, Albert DeGeorge and Walter Hitchcock. Interment was made in Calvary cemetery. Besides her parents, Mrs. Bergeson is survived by her husband, William Bergeson; two children, James and Agnes, all of Sandusky, O.; four brothers, Prosper, George, Robert and John, all of Erie; and seven sisters, Mrs. Fay Young of Ripley, NY; Mrs. Louis DeGeorge, Mrs. Ray Markiewicz, and the Misses Betty, Peg, Sally and Joan Connelly, all of Erie.
