About Agnes Lila Dyke
WINDHAM – Agnes Lila Dyke, 95, passed away in her sleep at Ledgewood Manor, Windham on March 16, 2015. She was born in New Brunswick, Canada on March 28, 1919. She was one of the 11 children of Florence (Thomas) and Hector McLean. She worked many jobs in her life, but she retired early in 1970 to be a nanny to her grandson, Jeff Dyke. She then took care of her granddaughter, Lizzie Marshall, when she was born in 1990. She said she would love to come back as a "grandmother" skipping motherhood. She was a past Grand Worthy Matron of the Deering Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. Agnes had a great love of hunting and fishing and the great outdoors. Agnes was predeceased by two husbands, Percy Alexander and Earl Dyke. She is survived by two daughters, Myrna Dyke and her partner, Fred Panico and Kathy Marshall and her husband, Gary. She is also survived by three step-children, Jackie Iaconeta and Richard Dyke of Florida and Bruce Dyke of Wilton. She has several grandchildren; and great-grandchildren. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, March 20, 2015 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the Dolby Funeral Chapel, 434 River Road. At 3:00 p.m.
