There is no confirmation as to the parents of "Agnes of the Isles". Any connection to "MacDonald Lord of the Isles" is circumspect at best.

Biography

Agnes of the Isles married John Montgomery.[1] They had the following children:

2. Joanna Montgomery b: Abt 1390 in Ardrossan, Fifeshire, Scotland

This man's wife was probably the heiress of Skelmorley and of Giffen because he received or had acquired these two property's and gave them to his sons after his first wife's death shown by his marriage to his second wife about the same time as these grants to his sons this Agnes was probably of the sannox in Island of arran as George his grandson received a grant of property there in 1469 (Montgomeries Earls of Eglington page 431, vol 2 page 21)

Agnes of the Isles married Sir John Montgomerie of Ardrossan, son of John Montgomery and Elizabeth Eglinton.2 Her married name became Montgomerie.1
