About Agnes Margaret Larson (Knutson)
Agnes Knutson was born on the family farm to John and Sarah (Halvorson) Knutson. She spent her childhood in Hopper Township, graduating from Hopper High School in 1936.
She worked in Denver, CO for a short time, then returned to Plankinton where she worked at the county agent's office and the farm security office for five or six years.
On June 1, 1942, she married Lawrence Larson at the St. John's Catholic parsonage in Plankinton. She continued working until they moved to the family farm north of Plankinton in 1943. They retired in 1960 and moved into their new home in Plankinton.
Agnes Larson was a member of St. John's Catholic Church, St. John's Altar Society, and the Jolly Bunch Club.
She was survived by three sons and four daughters: Richard Larson and his wife Jo of Plankinton, SD; Randall Larson of Mitchell, SD; and Roger Larson and his wife Kim of Pierre, SD; Barbara Mindt and her husband Walter of Fon du Lac, WI; Sharelle Meyer and her husband Gary of Bath, SD; Dianne Noyes and her husband John of Pierre, SD; and Rosemary Maine of Mitchell, SD.
She was also survived by one brother, Virgil Knutson and his wife Wava of Billings, MT.
Huer husband Lawrence died in January, 2000. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, five half-brothers, and two half-sisters.
