Edward Wade, Sr., who fought in the Revolutionary War, and his wife, Mary Clements or Clemons, being in our direct line. Their son, David Wade, born in Virginia in 1747, married Agnes Hardy and had 13 children, one of whom, Edward Wade, Sr. (a different one--they liked to name their children after relatives) is in our direct line. He was born in 1762 and married Lucy Burford (not Buzford, as was earlier reported), had at least three children we know of--and four more are possible. Edward Jr., the one in our direct line, born in 1804, married Josephine Wehanna, to become the parents of Thomas Jesse Wade, and from there we know where we are.
