About Agneta Svärdsköld

Agneta adlad Svärdsköld

  • Daughter of Lars adlad Svärdsköld and Margareta Silfverswärd

Noble House Sword Shield No. 334

Noble House Sword Shield No. 334, Knighted 1645-10-06, introd. 1647. Extinct in the early 18th century.

In Schlegel & Klingspor, The unintroduced adelns ätartavlor, it is stated that the noble Håkan Larsson Svärdsköld was the brother of Lars Larsson, noble Silfverswärd, and Jon Larsson, progenitor of the noble families Svärdfelt. Any other source for this than the floating information in Fryxell, Vermland's genealogy book, that this would have been the case, is not cited, nor should there be any. In the mention in the knight house genealogy of Lars Silfverswärd's widow Catharina Svenske's remarriage to Håkan Larsson Svärdsköld, it is not implied that the two men were brothers, which would certainly have happened, if that had been or was considered to be the relationship. In addition, the court's permission had to be obtained for Margareta Silfverswärd's marriage to her stepbrother Lars Svärdsköld, since the two parties were also cousins. but no such condition seems to have been invoked. Håkan

Håkan Larsson , knighted Sword Shield, to Vistaholm in Floby parish, which he received as a donation on 29-03-1649 under the terms of the Norrköping decision, and Nygården in Kvänum parish, which he received through his later marriage, both in Skaraborg county. Horseman at the Västgöta Cavalry Regiment. Knighted 1645-10-06 (introd. 1647 under no. 311, which number has since been changed to 334). Major 1650. Died 1654-04-27 and is buried with his second wife and her first husband in Kvänum's church. Married 1st to N . N. _ Married 2nd in 1648 to Karin Lennartsdotter Svenske in her 2nd marriage (married 1st in 1629 to lieutenant colonel Lars Larsson the elder, ennobled Silfverswärd , in his 2nd marriage, died 1645), died 1678-01-00, daughter by the master rider Lennart Svenske, and Elin Bååt.

When the galley on which he served was shot down by a Turkish privateer, was captured. During the captivity, God made a promise, as a result of which, after returning to his fatherland, both from the little he himself could save, and from the small donation that his father had acquired with his blood, built a church and bequeathed all his property to the poor and the church service, although he requested confirmation in 1685.
