Late last night, Irving's eldest son, Alan & his wife Rochelle were walking home to their flat in Sandbanks after a night out to a restaurant, when they were hit by a car from behind which had mounted the pavement. They were both killed instantly. A bad dream.

It is not possible that we will never see them again. They were only with us on Wednesday night for dinner, for Rosh HaShana. Kids are hit pretty badly and no one can believe it. Don't know when we can have the funeral as there will be a postmortem and then the driver of the car (who was unhurt) will have to be given 28 days by law to ask for his own pathologist to conduct a 2nd postmortem. A nightmare.

HUNDREDS of mourners gathered to bid a final farewell to 'a lovely couple' from Moor Park, who were killed while on holiday in Dorset.

A private funeral service for Alan and Rochelle Bernard, of South Approach, was held at Bushey Cemetery, in Bushey near Watford, at 2.15pm this afternoon
