After playing in various orchestras, such as the celebrated Rosé Quartet, Albert formed his own "Bachrich Quartet". This comprised himself playing 1st. violin, Robert HÜGEL as 2nd. violin, Victor WAGNER on cello and Georg BRUNO on piano.

There are numerous entries in "Kurliste" of the era, showing Albert staying in same hotel as Victor WAGNER. Presumably this is how his sister Cäcilie first met her future husband.

On a mountain hiking holiday, Albert suffered a stroke and died. Several accounts of this are to be found in newspapers - e.g.
