ALBERT RIPLEY PALMER, A. M., son of Frederick A. and Lucy Clark Palmer, was born in Amherst, Mar. 14, 1819 ; fitted for college at Amherst Academy. Studied law with Osmyn Baker of Amherst, '41—'42 ; with Marshall M. Strong of Racine, Wis., '42; admitted to the bar at Racine, Wis., Dec., 1842; practised there, '42—’46. Died from lockjaw, at Racine, Wis., Sept. 12, 1846. Married, Aug. 28, 1845, Helen, dau. of Levi W. Humphrey, M. D., of Southwick. One child.

Simeon, the second child of the twelve children, was born June 25, 1752; was twice married.
By his first wife, Lucy Hubbard, he had three children,-viz.: Elijah, Eunice, and Philomela,-each of whom raised large families, their children numbering thirty-one.
His second wife was Irene Lewis, to whom he was married April 23, 1795.

Lucy,
Lucy (20),
Asahel, and
Simeon.
Lucy and Asahel both died young. Lucy (20) married, Dec. 3, 1817, Frederick A. Palmer, by whom she had one son, Albert R. Palmer, who was a graduate of Amherst College, and became an eminent lawyer in Racine, Wis., and died there. Simeon, the father, died May 3, 1831; the mother, May 11, 1855.
