About Albert van Lingen

info@stadsarchief.amsterdam.nl Aug 9

to me Dear Sir,

Albert van Lingen and Antje Hage had 6 children. Geesien - bapt. Amsterdam 12-2-1772 (Noorderkerk) Willemtje - bapt. Amsterdam 14-3-1773 (Noorderkerk) Remmer - bapt. Amsterdam 17-7-1774 (Noorderkerk) Johannes - bapt. Amsterdam 13-3-1776 (Noorderkerk) Albert - bapt. Amsterdam 1-6-1777 (Noorderkerk) Leentie - bapt. Amsterdam 16-7-1780 (Zuiderkerk)

On the 19th of March 1786 Antje Haage, widow of Albert van Lingen is buried on the Westerkerkhof (1117/171v.) Four of the children came in the orphanage. Since Johannes and Leentie aren't mentioned anymore they must have died rather early.

I'll send you the 2 scans from the Diaconie Weeshuis der Hervormde Gemeente (Deacony Orphanage) on which you can see when the four children Geesien, Willemtie, Remmer and Albert were brought in and left again. (arch. 446/reg. 380) In the books of the orphanage you will find lots of abbreviations. What they mean isn't known to us.

Geesien married in 1793 (publications of the banns 19-4-1793) with Govert van Ekeren. She died in Amsterdam in 1845. (Deathcertificate register 4/fo. 100) Willemtie or Willempie married 13-5-1804 with Jan Gerrit Huijser. She died in 1845. (Deathcertificate register 7/fo. 78) Remmer seems to have drifted to the Dutch East Indies. Got consent from the orphanage to marry. About which we have no information. And he died in Norg in 1838 in a kind of institute where criminals and tramps were re-educated. (Deathcertifacte Norg nr. 3) Albert (the younger) ran away 5-2-1794.

Since Albert van Lingen (father) himself wasn't born in the Netherlands I ca't give further information about him. But his wife Antje was baptised in Kortenhoef, Annitje - bapt. Kortenhoef 17-4-1746. Here parents were Willem Hage and Leentje Bieris. The witness was Lijsbeth Willems. Willem Ansumss Haag and Leentje Pieters Bieris married in Kortenhoef 1-5-1740. This information comes from familysearch so I can't send you scans of this marriage and the baptisms of the brothers and sisters from Antje/Annitje.

I will send the scans by wetransfer.

Kind regards,

Bart Schuurman

Dear Küsel,

Thank you for your request.

I must inform you, however, that I could not find a birth Albert van Lingen in Bunde.

That's why I've been looking into other books. In Bingum in Leer I found it.

There lived a Albertus van Lingen. This should have been earlier baker in Amsterdam. He died in 1808 in Bingum. His father is supposed to be Albert Alberts van Lingen. (see Attachment). I copied the relevant pages and attached. I ask for referral from 30.00 euros to cover my costs. The best way to send the money to my pay pal account jandzimmermann@aol.com Or send me the money by mail.

If you have any questions, I will be happy to try to answer this.

Best regards
