About Albin Johnsson
Albin Johnsson was shot by the advancing Russian army. It is verbally recorded that one could here the shots and chains of the russian tanks.
After he has prepared his family and the people from the estate to leave by carriages, he took some men to the closeby railway track to save the escape and did not come back.
The grave is situated in the forest area of Ratzebuhr (Pommern), todays Okonek (Poland). It has been looked after by the local Polish people over the years - they called him the "American", because of the name Johnsson.
