About Alchfleda of Bamburgh
Alchfleda was a cousin of Eadwulf IV and they were both descended from Ida of Northumberland, son of Eoppa. Ida of Northumberland was king of Northumberland 547ad. Alchfleda descended from the son of Ida named Alric from her father. From her mother, Osgyfu, a grand daughter of King Eadberht and himself a grandson of Leodwald, Alchfleda descended then from Ocg, a son of Ida. Her husband, Eadwulf IV, was also a descendant of the son of Ida named Ocg of Bernicia through Leodwald.
