Died at her home near Dresden, March 9, 1926, aged eighty-two years, three months and eighteen days. She was united in marriage to Alexander WRIGHT November 17, 1859, who preceded her in death December 10, 1913.

To this union eleven children were born, namely: Richard, Jonas, Charles, Lloyd, Homer, Mrs. Ellen SHANKS, Mrs. Melissa ROBERTS, Mrs. Martha ROSE, Mrs. Rosa BURNETT, Mrs. Rebecca CRABBE and Mrs. Amy ROBERTS. 

Surrounded by the disadvantages incident to pioneer life they toiled day after day for fifty-four years to establish and maintain a home for their children. She loved her home and no one was more faithful in discharging her duties as a wife and mother than she.

She united with the Christian Church at Dresden early in life under the pastorate of Isaiah (Daddy) FIELDS. She remained a Christian until death. As a neighbor she was kind and good. Was always willing to lend a helping hand in time of need.

Her last admonition to her children was to live a Christian and meet her in the great beyond. She prayed good will and Jesus blessings to all.

She spent almost her entire life where she died, moving there with her husband at the age of sixteen.

She is survived by her eleven children, fifty-two grand children, and two great great grand children, and a host of other relatives and friends. 

She was laid to rest by the side of her husband at Ashcraft Chapel March 11, 1926. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Shannon BAKER."

Additional Note: Alcinda's mother, Jane Mansfield Hardisty married 2nd to Thomas Robinson and is buried as Jane Robinson. Alcinda's father, Thomas Jefferson Hardesty died before 1870 and is said to be buried at Tunnel Hill near Owensburg, Greene, IN.
