Alex Brown, aged 87 years, died at his home near Brownstown last Saturday. He was the father of Eld. W. S. Brown, of Winslow, and James, Geo., and Kelly Brown; Miss Maggie Brown, Mrs. Geo. King, Mrs. Elmer Spurlock, and Mrs. Collins. He had been blind nine years. He was a member of the Christian Church. The remains were interred in the Cuzzort graveyard Sunday. Crawford County Democrat. Thursday. 12 Apr 1906
