ALEXANDER BRUCE OF CULTMALINDIE

ALEXANDER BRUCE of Cultmalindie had a charter of confirmation under the Great Seal confirming Disposition by his father in his favour of the lands of Cultmalindie, dated 24th March 1587, He died 23rd October 1624, having married (contract dated 15th December 1580), Jean, daughter of Laurence, fourth Lord Oliphant, and had issue:

1. Laurence, who, with his brothers, was murdered on 20th June 1618, at the South Gate of Perth, David Toshach, younger of Monzievaird.
2. George, his heir.
3. Alexander.
4. Helen, married (first) Robert Moray, fiar of Abercairney, and (second) Malcolm Fleming.
5. Barbara, married David Smith of Barnhill.
6. Jean, married (contract dated l0th September 1619), Laurence Sinclair of Brugh.
7. Marjory , died 4th April 1645, married John Cheyne of Esslemont.
8. Margaret.
