July 29, 1937: Alexander Glenn died Saturday at Burge Hospital in Springfield at the age of 88 years, 11 months, and 24 days. Old age and a complications of ills caused his demise. He was born in Phelps County but most of his life had been spent in this section. For the past several years he had made his home with his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Land on Pea Ridge. He married Louisa Ann Crider who preceded him in death 50 years ago. Three children were born to this union. At an early age he professed faith in Christ and was a staunch member of the Christian Church. Survivors are 3 daughters, Mrs. Charles Land, Frances Beam of Seward, OK and Clella Land of Mansfield. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. A. B. Todd. Burial in No. 5 Cemetery on the Gasconade.
