Alexander Murray, 4th Lord Elibank

Biographical Summary

"(359) Alexander, fourth Lord Elibank, born 9th March 1677; died February 1736. He was served heir to his father 28th June 1698 ; and married, 24th February 1698, Elizabeth, daughter of George Stirling, surgeon, who died 11th November 1756, having had issue :

• Patrick (No. 360).
• Alexander Murray, born 23rd July 1704; died young.
• George (No. 361).
• Gideon (No. 362).
• John Murray, born 14th September 1711.
• Alexander Murray, born 9th December 17 12 ; died 27th February 1778. He was a Jacobite, and on 12th August 1759 was created EARL OF WESTMINSTER by the Chevalier St. George.
• James Murray (No. 369)."
