Biography==Alexander is the son of Thomas Ogle and Elizabeth. In 1734, his motherdied, leaving him an orphan around the age of five. Guardianship was given to his half-brother Francis Graham until May 1745, when Alexander's half-brother William Graham, became his guardian.<ref name=hibbard/>

Noted for his patriotic service as miller during the Revolutionary War, Alexander supplied flour to troops. He died in 1783 and was succeeded by his son Alexander II, who sold the family estate to John Devilbiss and moved to Kentucky.
