About Alexander 'Butch' Quintero
Alexander Quintero
Alexander “Butch” Quintero passed on to his next life and adventure on June 2nd, 2011 and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Alex was a proud father, grandfather, loving brother, and endearing friend. Alex led an adventurous life from his adolescence to his passing. Alex served his country honorably in the U.S. Army as a decorated Captain and Winter Ranger. His favorite pastimes were spending time with his family and friends, fishing, listening to music, playing pool and storytelling.
He was preceded in death by his mother Alice, father Arthur, and brother Joe. He is survived by and dearly loved his two daughters Barbara and Sonia, and his grandchildren Cameron and Trinity who were the light of his life, his brother Bobby, and his sisters Jackie and Sandy.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 9th, from 6:00PM to 9:00PM at Sunset Memorial Park and Funeral Home in San Antonio. There will be a full Military service at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery Friday, June 10th at 10:00AM, with a funeral procession departing the funeral home at 9:45 AM. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Veterans of Fort Sam Houston can be made.
Alex left his own indelible mark on anyone that met him, and he was at peace with the life he led.
