2-8 June 1596: Copy contract between Sir Duncan Campbell of Glenvrquhay (with John Murray of Tibbirmure and John Grahame of Newraw as cautioners), Perth, and Margaret Munro, widow of Colin Campbell of Ardbeyich and wife of Alexander Ruthven, son to Sir William Ruthven of Bandene (with said Sir William Ruthven and William Ruthven, his son, fiar of Bandean as cautioners). Said Margaret Munro and her husband dispone to Sir Duncan Campbell and his heirs and assignees her conjunct fee and liferent of 8 merklands of Ardbeyich with 4 merklands of Derrene etc, stewartry of Stratherne, sheriffdom of Perth; also of 8 merklands of Kingarth, stewartry of Stratherne and sheriffdom of Perth; also annualrent of 34 bolls victual, 2/3rd meal and 1/3rd bear between Martinmas and Candlemas from £20 lands of Edinambill, sheriffdom of Perth; also any other rights of conjunct fee and terce of said Margaret Munro through death of said Colin Campbell, her first husband, with effect from Whitsunday 1596. Assigns also to said Sir Duncan Campbell said Margaret's liferent of teindsheaves of barony of Fardell Easter and Wester, lands of Aird, lands of Donemadirdy with mill lands of Fardell and the Isle lying on the south side of the Water of Tay, barony of Fardell, sheriffdom of Perth, in terms of assignation 13 October 1589 by Barbara Moncur, Lady Fardill, wife to William Hay of Gowdie, and Patrick Hay, their son, to said Colin Campbell and Margaret Munro of letter of tack by late Robert, bishop of Dunkeld, with consent of dean and chapter, dated at Edinburgh and Dunkeld, 2-30 October 1564 for annual payment of £26:13:4d.Said Sir Duncan Campbell to make annual payment of sum due to bishopric of Dunkeld. Said Sir Duncan Campbell to pay 5000 merks scots for making of said disposition, whereof 2000 merks scots already paid. Remaining sum or 2000 merks to be paid in house of Thomas Gaw, notary in Perth, on 13 May 1597.Written by John Hendrie, writer, servant to Thomas Gaw, notary, Perth, who witness with Henry Balnevis, burgess, Perth, James Campbell, fiar of Laweris, Colin Campbell of Aberuquhill, Constantine Malice and Mr John Brown, merchant burgesses of Perth, and James Ross, burgess there. Thomas Gaw and Alexander Robertsoun execute notarially for said Margaret Munro.
