1921 (22 April): Variety: When the steamship Wenatchee sailed Saturday on her first voyage out of Seattle she had as a passenger Alexander Singelow, Seattle representative of Fox, who will take moving pictures of the first ocean trip of the liner and the receptions recorded the big vessel in Oriental ports. In this way the Seattle vessel will be given screen publicity in all parts of the world.

1921: Quote from Memoirs of Robert Dollar, vol. 2, chapter 10: Here two United States Shipping Board freighters, operated by the Admiral Line, were discharging cargo. One was the Edmore, which had towed the Wenatcliee into Yokohama, and the other was the Abercos from the Columbia River, built at Vancouver, Washington. The visitors watched the Chinese coolies moving, entirely by hand, the cargo from the ship across the wharves to the warehouse and storage yards. They congratulated Captain Dollar and Harold Dollar on the substantial and permanent character of the development. Mr. Singelow, the photographer, took moving pictures of the cargo handling, the plant, and Captain Dollar. Lumber from the Pacific Northwest and steel from America were being discharged from the ships, 700 Chinese laborers being employed at this work.

1922 (5 March): Sunday Oregonian: Alex Singelow, cameraman in the Fox motion picture news service, visited Portland last week on a hunt for new subjects. As is always the case with camera news men, Mr. Singelow refused to make public the nature of his mission. Mr. Singelow makes his headquarters at Seattle. He has just returned from a three years' trip in the orient where he caught many scenes for his company.

Have Camera, Will Travel: Alexander Singelow and the Star Theater:
When motion pictures hit Everett, Singelow was one of the first to hop on the trend. A Norwegian immigrant, he moved to Everett in 1900 and opened a saloon with his brother in 1906. Soon he began showing films in the saloon a few nights a week, fascinated by the new form of entertainment.
Then in 1909, with the threat of prohibition on the horizon, Singelow got out of the saloon business, and opened the Star.

Alexander Singelow’s reiser og eventyr i Norge, Sverige, Danmark og Tyskland gjennem næsten et aar. Filmen tar sin begyndelse i Norge, hvor man faar se en mængde vakre scenerier og videre til Danmark med Kronborg slot og mange andre seværdige steder. Derefter fortsætter Singelow til Tyskland, hvor man bl. a. faar se Do X den største flyvemaskin i verden under bygning. Derfra gaar det videre til Stockholm, og Sverige forøvrig.

Nordisk Tidende, torsdag 18. juni 1931, s. 15: “NOMADIE” heter en film som nu kjøres paa Cameo, 42. st., N. Y. C. Den er simpelthen en meget vakker reisefllm fra Norge, Sverige, Danmark og Tyskland, optat av dr. Singelow. Specielt er der vakre billeder fra de norske fjorde, ledsaget av et utmerket reiseforedrag.

Bergens Tidende fredag 6. mai 1932: "Stavangerfjord" kom hertil fra Amerika ved totiden imorges. Blandt passasjerene var den norske generalkonsul i New York, Wilhelm Morgenstierne med familie, den kjente norsk-amerikanske kameramann Alexander Singelow og 65 medlemmer av forskjellige bygdelag i statene under ledelse av vossingen David Rivenes.
