Har hört från Nikolai Meyer om detta men släkten var fattig och ingen kunde åta sig att ta hand om gods i Polen, som fordrade underhåll bl.a. / Tomas
Coat-of-Arms consists of two lions holdinga a shield with from left an Orthodox Christian cross, a bird, maybe an eagle and to the right a horse shoe. Down is a rider on horseback with a sword which shows that the Chufarovskys family were warriers. On top is a helmet with a crown which shows that they were knights.
This family is a very old noble family from end of 1500s.
A noble family without titles.
They hade connections with Moscow, Pskov and Poland.
I think it looks more like a Maltese cross! Could the bird be the Phoenix? though I see no flames. Usually a shield is described with and within its four quarters. Nina
