Louisiana Family:Alexis Brod is on the Wall of Names at the Acadian Memorial in St. Martinville, Louisiana Plaque 10 Left L'Amitie, Arrivee le 7 Novembre 1785. :Alexis Breau was born about 1723 in Cobequit, Acadia, the firstchild of Pierre Breau and Anne Francoise Dupuis. Please note that many sources mistakenly indicate he is the son of Antoine Braud and Marguerite Dugas.
:In 1745, at the age of 23, he married Marie Madeleine Josephe Thibodeau, daughter of Alexandre Thibodeau and Francoise Benoit. They had 4children:

:Alexis Braud, Marie Guillot, his wife and their children: Charles, Madeleine, Anne, Marie and Victoire were deported by the British from Acadia. They disembarked at St. Malo on March 9, 1759 from the British ship, du Supply. They resided at Trigavou, Brittany, France, 1759-1773.
:Their youngest 3 children were born in Trigavou, Cotes d'Armor, France.
:In 1785, he immigrated to Louisiana, along with his wife, Marie, daughter (Marguerite?), one nephew, and one cousin. They departed La Rochelle, France, aboard the Amitié, a merchant vessel chartered by the Spanish government to transport Acadian exiles to New Orleans. Arrived in Louisiana on November 7, 1785. They settled along Bayou Lafourche, probably near Thibodaux.

:Alexis Breau died in 1808 at the age of 85.
